Teacher’s WordsWhat are the key factors for learning the French horn? Requirements for learning French horn:

Learning wind instruments, especially brass instruments, does not need to be learned at a very young age. It is usually better to learn when the child’s physical development is mature. Generally, it can be more than 7 years old. It is necessary that this will pave the way for children’s future study. The French horn is considered to be the most difficult instrument to control like the oboe. It has a long body, a wide range, a lot of overtones, and a deep and small horn. If there is no basic rigorous training in basic musical qualities such as pitch concept, it will bring future progress Great obstacles. I suggest you pay attention to the study of music theory.

There are also many parents who have thick lips and uneven teeth but can not learn the French Horn, but there are actually many facts that prove that their own conditions (such as thin lips and neat teeth) are important, but they are not a decision the elements of. The key to success lies in several aspects:

  1. High-level, high-quality professional teachers to guide
  2. Make full use of the physical conditions and make it "suitable for people".
  3. Practicing hard, using your brain, planning and aiming. As the saying goes: "The master introduces the door and success depends on the individual".
Reviews
My daughter has studied the French hone with Mr. Tang for two years. She has been able to play Mozart Concerto since she can’t understand the staff. Especially this year, my daughter joined the bay area youth Symphony Orchestra. My daughter is so happy. The teacher here says her French horn tone is particularly beautiful and clean. I am also very proud to be a parent, my daughter feels better and better when she practices at home. Since she studied with Mr. Tang home work getting better too she has become more and more self possessed. There are many bands competing to get her in school. Brass, woodwind, band members and rock n roll band ha ha! I think Mr. Tang taught her very well. My daughter’s French horn has not gone through any detours. The school teacher said that her embouchure is very correct. Now because of the epidemic situation, I can’t go to Mr. Tang’s house to have a lesson, and I can’t hear the wonderful sound of Mr. Tang’s French horn.. Now we start to have a class in the Internet. I personally feel that I really saved a lot of driving time, and my daughter didn’t realize it It’s not the same. It’s very convenient to have a class at home. You can warm up and play right away !You can watch video as many times as you want is very efficient way to learned. Thank you, Mr. Tang.
